5-14-2010 Father/Son Ward Camp-out

Garth and Gerrit went on to the ward's Father/Son Camp-out. I only was able to snap a couple shots while they were loading up, but they came back and reported that they had a blast.


Emma and I had a girls night at the house. We had dinner, I made her favorite, white noodles with white sauce, and I let her eat at the little table in the family room, then we painted our nails, only to have Emma peel her polish off in the bath tub later that night.



It was a fun night for all involved.

4-3rd and 4th -2010-Easter weekend with the Dunn's

We decided to spend Easter weekend with our good friends the Dunn's. We met at their house in Lathrop and headed to the Children's Museum in Stockton. The kids has a blast playing on all the vehicles, shopping, dressing up, and pretending with all the cool things they had there. Emma found a pony that she was heartbroken to hear couldn't come and live with us. Garth stepped back in time to the days of stocking shelves at grocery stores. Caleb, Seth and Gerrit loved pretending they were news anchors and Asher loved having Zion and Melinda tag team him all over the museum.

As if Easter candy tomorrow wouldn't be enough sugar...after dinner we took the kids to get ice cream!!!
It sure was delicious!



After a day full of fun, and lots of yummy ice cream in our tummy's we headed back to the Dunn's for the night. The kids had to get to bed so the adults could...plan...and I think we ended up watching a movie that Garth and I fell asleep during. We are not the night owls that the Dunn's are. Sorry Zion and Melinda, I hope our snoring didn't ruin the movie!

GOOD NIGHT BOYS!!! Emma was in the Jeep bed that Zion made for Caleb and Seth had just hurt himself seconds before this picture so he is crying on the top bunk. Sorry Sethy!



SUNDAY MORNING ~~~HAPPY EASTER - 2010!!!~~~



The kids had lots of fun hunting for the eggs that they saw Garth and Zion hiding in the backyard! We tried to keep the kids from looking out the windows but Caleb and Gerrit were a bit sneaky and went upstairs and looked out anyway. I guess boys will be boys!
As always there was plenty of candy and I am sure we will be throwing most of it out in about two months. As long as it is out of sight my kids are pretty good about sweets.

It is always fun to spend time with the Dunn's. After all it isn't about the ages of your playmates, it's about what you have in common that makes life long friends...Right Melinda!

4-2-2010 Zoo Fun

We were invited to the Chaffee Zoo for a friends birthday party. The kids always have a good time at the Zoo. We got to have a special animal encounter where a specialist brought in a couple different animals for the kids to see and touch up close. There was a Ferret, a snake, and a bird. Both Gerrit and Emma touched the snake and the Ferret.
There was a beautiful Owl there that let me get a nice up close picture of him.
Of course what Zoo adventure would be complete with out feeding the Giraffe's. I still laugh at how long there tongue's are. Maybe I am just jealous!
It was a beautiful spring day, perfect for spending with friends. Thanks Racca's for inviting us. Happy 5th Birthday Ethan!
