6-4-2010 Camping in Santa Cruz

We met up with Keith and Kaleen in Santa Cruz for a weekend of Camping.
It you ask them how it happened they might say that we totally invaded their nice retreat!
It was funny because I really wanted to camp and when we heard that Keith and Kaleen were camping we called the resort where they had reservations and checked if there were still spots available...then I called and asked Kaleen if she liked us and would be cool with us tagging along. Good thing, she does like us!
It was fun to spend time with them. On Saturday we went to the beach for the day, then Sunday we visited the Mystery Spot. The kids thought it was...a MYSTERY!!! My kids didn't like the feeling you get when you are up in the cabin. I didn't either, it gave me a headache.
The weekend went by WAY to fast for us, it was hard to say goodbye. They were camping through the entire following week. Natalie and Becky were even trying to have Garth catch a bus back home so I could stay the week with the kids. Would have totally gone for it but I had to work too.

5/22/2010 Fun times with Grandpa and Tam

Dad and Tam came down for a couple days to help watch the kids while I worked.
The kids had lots of fun. They went to the driving range, to the park, to swimming lessons, to Break the Barriers for Gymnastics and TKD, to scouts, the library, Grandpa helped Gerrit with his homework, and the last night we took everyone to the Baseball game at Chukchansi Park. This was one of the last games Buster Posey played in the minor league. He was signed to the SF Giants the following week.

Thanks Dad and Tam for ALL the help!!

5-14-2010 Father/Son Ward Camp-out

Garth and Gerrit went on to the ward's Father/Son Camp-out. I only was able to snap a couple shots while they were loading up, but they came back and reported that they had a blast.

Emma and I had a girls night at the house. We had dinner, I made her favorite, white noodles with white sauce, and I let her eat at the little table in the family room, then we painted our nails, only to have Emma peel her polish off in the bath tub later that night.

It was a fun night for all involved.
